monopsone keeps the beat and invites two new musical projects to the " Substracks” series : the atmospheric rock of Micro:mega's two French activists will thus encounter the space-rock of the Quebec trio Below The Sea.
In the tradition of their previous album "Human” bursting with numerous electro experiments, Micro:mega carries on brilliantly with the union of the organic and the electronic. This now wise and tranquil binomial from Toulouse plays with repetitive backgrounds marked by countless events. As in Labradford and Pan American, melancholy perfectly cohabits with beauty in the two tracks created for monopsone by Sylvain Chauveau and Fred Luneau.
On the strength of a first album " The loss of our winter”, as timid as it was consistent, as unobtrusive as it was superb, Below The Sea is making a name for itself in the land of Godspeed You Black Emperor!. These cristal-clear guitar lovers offer us three tracks run through by a melancholy inspiration.
